A popular room to remodel is a porch. It can be turned into a screened porch or even a sunroom with little effort. Sometimes we can take some space from an adjoining room to make the dining room larger. Many of the homes built in the last 20 years or so have had small dining rooms. If you have a family that likes to entertain or that has a large family, you may want to consider expanding the dining room. Sometimes this can be done by going out the front of the house or the rear, depending on where the dining room is located. A bay window can be added to give a little more space. If there is a porch in front of the dining room it may be possible to expand the room out under the porch. You can also just bump it out about 3’ and put a metal bay top on it.
